The rooms are perfectly nice - nothing amazing but a decent enough size for the 4 of us although the kids had to share a bed. We were even delayed post then although we did get a free breakfast coupon as compensation. The hotel itself is obviously music themed and has many great features including a huge pool with slide and a lot of cool rock memorabilia. The other key benefit is that you get a Universal express pass for the duration of your stay for everyone which allows you to skip a lot of the queues for many rides.

Makes it really easy to get to the park for opening time. Just a short walk to the park entrances via a pleasant riverside path, and a boat trip if you are feeling really lazy!. For going to the theme park, I think it would be hard to find a better hotel. They also gave us a dessert voucher at check in for my boyfriend's birthday which we used. On our last night we had dinner in The Kitchen and had fantastic steaks. Phyllis and Ryan saved us on our last night when they helped us with dinner reservations last minute. We used the texting service to ask for our vehicle and to make dinner reservations. Andrew helped us prior to our universal adventures and gave us tips for the parks (which rides to line up for first, early access, etc). Kudos to the kitchen team for creating such a great display (I ordered a fruit and cheese plate, chocolate strawberries and balloons). Ryan the Concierge helped set up an amenity in the room prior to arrival and it looked just like the pictures on the menu!.

I was checked in by Lexi who gave a great rundown of the property and wished my boyfriend happy birthday (he got a pin to wear around too). It was about a 5 minute walk to the resorts and even offers a water taxi. We stayed 3 nights as part of the universal package.
